Michelle Van Kempen
General Manager

A veteran television production executive, Michelle joined NPACT in 2016 as Head of Policy and Development, and began serving as General Manager in 2019. 

Prior to joining NPACT, Michelle was co-principal and executive producer at Film Garden Entertainment in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years, where she oversaw all business, production and daily operations of the prolific production company and served as executive producer on over 2000 episodes of content. 

In addition to her current responsibilities with NPACT, Michelle is the Founder and Executive Director of Women in Nonfiction (WiN), a national organization to advocate for and support the career advancement of women working in the nonfiction entertainment industry.

She also founded and serves as Executive Director of the Youth Orchestra Project, a non-profit organization that provides classical music education, instruction and performance opportunities to young people.
